Some couples just fit.
Michelle Bunge (Rutten) and Bill Rutten are the kind of people who’ve weathered the tough moments and somehow come out even brighter. They’ve built their life together with care, one layer and one laugh at a time. The way they look at each other says it all—there’s strength and softness, all wrapped up together.
I wasn’t able to be there for their wedding (eye roll), so getting to photograph them together felt like an overdue love letter. A gift, really—the kind of present that freezes a feeling in time (probably their best gift, FYI).
This day was everything I love about photography: bright, alive, and so real. The colors glowed, the breeze had its own story, and yes, I nearly wiped out a couple of times because I wore the wrong shoes. But every laugh and every quiet glance just fit. It all came together, perfectly imperfect (Mr. Rutten’s serious face always makes me giggle).
Editing these photos had me grinning so much my cheeks actually hurt. Michelle and Bill are what real love looks like—unfiltered, a little messy, and honestly, just beautiful.
